Description
This comes from one of the small Margaux vineyards that are dotted amongst the big-name estates. René Renon’s wine is ripe and juicy—still young and exuberant. It balances Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc in almost equal proportions, giving a wine that has structure and plenty of berry fruits. Drink this wine from 2020.
Grapes: 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot.
Color: A bright red robe with brown tints. Nose: Aromas of berries, violets, peppers and tobacco. Palate: A fleshy texture with full flavors of blackberry, toasted bread and licorice. JS 95
