The oldest tequila in the world, Cuervo’s history stretches back to 1795, when Jose Maria Guadalupe de Cuervo began selling the very first Vino Mezcal de Tequila after receiving the first official charter from the King of Spain to produce tequila on a commercial basis. Cuervo has been producing tequila at La Roje?, the most historical active distillery in Latin America, ever since. Jose Cuervo 250 Aniversario Anejo is an ultra-aged tequila, made from 100% blue agave and created to commemorate the tradition and history of Jose Cuervo. The tequila is first aged in French and American oak barrels, then blended with the finest and oldest tequilas in the distillery. Finally it is aged for another year in Spanish sherry barrels.
